STEM BEST PRACTICE - ACADEMY
Activity
The paper ball run challenge is a simple hands-on activity that teachers can use to bring STEM learning into the classroom. Using paper, tape, and other basic materials, students design and build a track that guides a ball from start to finish. Through this process, they explore concepts such as force, motion, gravity, angles, testing, and redesign.
The activity encourages creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking while giving students an opportunity to apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in a practical way. It is an engaging classroom challenge that can also be used for school-wide STEM participation and innovation events.
