Course Description
This module focuses on student-centered teaching strategies for STEM, emphasizing the active role of learners in the classroom. It encourages educators to move beyond traditional lecture-based instruction and create learning environments where students participate, question, explore, and take ownership of their learning process. The module highlights how student engagement increases when learners are directly involved in meaningful tasks and discussions.
Participants will learn to incorporate inquiry-based and experiential learning methods in a structured and purposeful way. They will understand how to design activities that allow students to investigate concepts, test ideas, and learn through hands-on experiences. By applying these approaches, educators can foster collaboration among students, encourage creative thinking, and strengthen problem-solving skills. The module demonstrates how these strategies work together to create dynamic STEM classrooms where students actively build understanding through exploration and teamwork.
